Cory Hall voted 2011
All-West Coast Conference Team
June 8, 2011
SANTA CLARA, Calif.- Three members of
the Santa Clara baseball team were honored by the West Coast
conference for their play this season on Wednesday. The three
recipients were led by senior RHP Cory Hall, who was named to
the 2011 All-West Coast Conference First Team. In addition,
Patrick Terry was named as an All-WCC honorable mention and Kyle
DeMerritt was named to the 2011 WCC All-Freshman Team.
Hall (4-7; 3.26 ERA) had a
break-out season for the Broncos. After being a bullpen pitcher
during his first two seasons, Hall became the team's Friday
night starter. Hall averaged seven innings per start, pitching
105 innings in 15 starts. Santa Clara's ace fanned 80 batters,
including a season-high 11 against Brown on March 26. He posted
two complete games, including a two-run nine-inning effort at
Saint Mary's on Apr. 15. Hall continually left the Broncos with
a chance to win, picking up no-decisions that the Broncos later
won including a two-run no-decision at Pepperdine on May 6.

represented at Jack Howell College Classic in Tucson, Arizona!
March 30, 2011
This past weekend 8 High School Inside Pitch
students flew down to Tucson Arizona for some spring training
and to get a taste of college competition. We joined forces with
Protrain, based out of Vancouver, B.C., coached by the legendary
Jim Chapman, (AKA Chappy). Chappy has been a professional scout
and coach for over 25years. We trained for 3 days prior to the
tournament at the Kino Sports Complex and played one exhibition
game against Mayville U. on the main MLB park at the complex.
Our competition was a who's who of JC baseball in the southern
USA. We ended up with a 3-3 record, with a great contribution
from all the Inside Pitch students.
