Morgan graduated Texas State University with Academic / Athletic honors. He was one of 22 students out of a possible 25,000 to receive this honor. After graduation Morgan played professionally for three years, in Europe, Canada, and the U.S.A. Morgan has worked to develop thousands of athletes in Canada and the U.S.A. in all areas of skill development.

Morgan began his college career with 3 years at the prestigious National Baseball Institute.  During this time he pitched against NCAA Div 1 schools such as U of Washington, Cal Berkley, LC State, Oregon State, U of Portland, Santa Clara U, to name a few.  He also played against the World Series Champion Toronto Blue Jays at the end of each season.  From NBI Morgan chose to move  to NCAA Div 1 Texas State University.  In his 1st year Morgan recorded 6 wins, set the school record for appearances, and recorded the 1st win in school history against #4 U of Texas Longhorns.

During his playing career Morgan has played with upwards of 12 MLB players and against too many to count.

Morgan is the current Team IP Prospects Head Coach.  In addition, during his coaching career he has been selected to help coach with, the Regina Red Sox, Team Saskatchewan 15U, 16U, Canada Cup, and Martin Academy.  Mentoring local youth in the game he loves is what drives Morgan to continue to expand Inside Pitch throughout Canada.

He is also certified by the prestigious National Pitching Association of Dr. Tom House – pitching coach to Barry Zito, Randy Johnson, Cole Hammels and Nolan Ryan (NPA in LA, California). Morgan has been certified by the NPA for 9 years running and is the 1st and longest trained instructor in Canada!

 

Morgan has extensive knowledge in player development and coaching at all levels of the game. He continues to educate himself and his Academy in the most up to date information in the game today.
